Plenary Session, Forum 2015

The V St. Petersburg International Legal Forum took place on May 27-30, 2015. The anniversary Forum was aimed at promoting the best ideas of the previous Forums and revealing new topics for a professional discussion.

In 2015 over 3500 delegates from 84 countries took part in the Forum, including delegates from Australia, Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, South Korea, Ukraine, United States, United Kingdom and Vietnam.

The number of delegations has increased compared to 2014: the Forum was attended by 61 delegations and 20 out of them were headed by foreign Ministers of Justice and Deputy Ministers of Justice. Heads and Deputy Heads of international organizations, such as UN, UNCITRAL, HCCH, UNIDROIT, European Commission on the Efficiency of Justice, European Court on Human Rights, Regional delegation of ICRC, Court of the Eurasian Economic Union and Eurasian Economic Commission, attended the Forum.

Business program of the 2015 Forum comprised more than 70 events. Plenary session “Mission of Law in an Era of Change” took place in the Eastern Wing of the General Staff Building of the State Hermitage Museum on the 27th of May. The programme of the Forum included the discussion sessions organized into following tracks: International Law / Rule of Law, Private Law, Corporate Practice / International Trade / Protection of Competition, Litigation and Arbitration Practice, Smart Society, Cultural Heritage/ the Public Interest/ Environment, Investments/ Finance. A number of international conferences and lectures were held during the Forum days. Records of the Forum business programme is available here. Besides, on the 27th of May St. Petersburg International Legal Forum Award took place.

423 representatives of 118 mass media specializing on law and economy from Russia and abroad were working at the venue.

The Forum online audience has significantly exceeded the number of registered participants: more than 20 000 viewers from 60 countries watched the business programme broadcast.
